Position Title:    Associate Director, Investment Valuation (Req# 001)

 

Job Description:

 

Responsible for Credigy’s evaluation and acquisition of portfolios in the US and international markets. Work closely with our Senior Director of Investment Valuation to lead key aspects of the Valuation team. Produce cash flow models to forecast performance and rate of return on potential investments under different scenarios. Develop financial models for asset-based lending facilities to evaluate feasibility/solvency, cash flow profile, debt service requirements, and compliance with financial covenants. Perform research on new investment opportunities to evaluate new markets and new asset classes. Work with and evaluate third party or market data available to identify comparable pools that can be used to forecast loan performance. Review and analyze historical data to identify portfolio performance trends and provide information for future strategic directions. Develop analytical tools to identify key drivers of portfolio/asset performance. Review due diligence results and legal agreements, and guarantee that all the terms are contemplated in the valuation methodology. Communicate valuation findings and results to transaction team members and ultimately, to the executive team; Produce and present meaningful investment memorandums with recommendations to the company’s executive team; explaining and defending investment recommendations. 10% travel required to perform job duties. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day / week.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Requires a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or a directly related field plus five (5) years of related experience in the finance, risk or investment domain. Experience must include:

 

Four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Experience in structured product, including valuation of various asset classes (consumer loans, merchant cash advances/business loans, student loans, auto loans).

  • Structuring and evaluating asset-backed transactions, including whole loan purchases, credit facilities, and forward flow arrangements.

  • Microsoft VBA, SQL, R, Python, Tableau.

 

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
